Use POILoader to Load Custom POIs
You can use Garmin's POILoader to load customer Points of Interest (POIs) to
your 770.
Disclaimer: you assume all responsibility for the use of these
instructions. I am not liable for any damage to your GPS or any
consequences of following these instructions or any inaccuracies contained
herein. If you are not comfortable with this, you should not proceed.
 |
Plug your 770 into your PC via the USB cable. |
 |
Go to
Garmin's POI Loader
site. Download and install the POI Loader tool. |
 |
Find a site with POIs you want to load. Garmin
has a good starting list
here.
One I like is
http://www.poi-factory.com . |
 |
The POI sites will typically make files containing POIs
available in CSV format or other formats. Once you've downloaded
the CSV file from the POI site, use the POI Loader tool to load it into
your GPS. |
 |
Disconnect the GPS from your PC and wait for it too
boot up. |
 |
To find the newly-loaded POIs on your 770, go to Where
To - Extras - Custom POIs. The 770 will only hold 50 custom POIs. |
This site is not affiliated with Garmin or poi-factory.com in any way.
